Friday Fact
Friday Fact No. 7: My hands down favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s my go to movie when I’ve got a case of the blues, or the reds for that matter. The image above is an illustration done with ink by etsy shop elloh. I love the mix of realism and wonky proportions in it.
This has been a long week for me, and I am looking forward to the weekend (hopefully one without any surprises). Check back next week for some exciting news!

Friday Fact No. 6: I got the day off of work today because I’m going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers tonight. I’m pretty excited. Anyone else have exciting Friday plans?

Fact No. 4: Daisy by Marc Jacobs has been my perfume of choice for almost 5 years now. It smells great and I love the packaging. I also love the soft color in Katie’s illustration from Paperfashion.

Friday Fact
Fact No. 3: I have a maple syrup phobia. It’s an irrational discomfort at the thought, the smell, and particularly the feel of maple syrup. Makes me queasy just thinking about it. I cannot stand to touch anything sticky in general, but maple syrup is the worst. That being said, I fundamentally disagree with this line from Twin Peaks, as illustrated by Agnes Barton-Sabo of the etsy shop Betty Turbo. Her shop is great, full of these lovely typographic prints and fun pop culture illustrations.
In other news, I’ve been dragging behind this week. Work has me swamped and I still haven’t finished the papercraft cats or photographing my graduation announcements properly. Hopefully this weekend will be refreshing and give me some time to play catch up so next week can be full of original content. Until then, thanks for stopping by.

Friday Facts
Fact No.2: I am a cat lady. I have two cats: Touf and Toast. Touf is short for pantoufle (pahn-too-fle) which is french for fuzzy slipper. Toast is a play on words, I guess. I named him that because he was born with only 2 toes on one front foot, and 3 on the other. So it’s more like Toest. Touf and Toast are brothers from the same litter and I refer to them as the two dudes who live in my house.
True story: I was going to make little papercraft illustrations of the two of them for their big introduction, but I got swamped this week with work and party planning and graduation announcements. I’m still working on them though, and hope to post them some time next week. In the mean time, I paired this post with this lovely illustration by ambird that was released as a cover for a journal. Definitely jealous of those who got to buy one while it was on sale.
