You guys know I love it when things are made from paper, but I actually don’t like when things are made from book paper. It seems… disrespectful almost. I love to read and I love books and I just couldn’t bring myself to cut one up, even a book I disliked. I can’t imagine what the author would think to see their words dissected and transformed into “art”. I don’t mean to belittle the work featured above. It’s a snake necklace by PaperStatement that was featured on the Etsy homepage.  I just feel that this is an interesting jewelry piece that would be just as interesting, if not more, if it was made out of maybe colored paper, and not an unnamed book. Anybody else with me? or am I being too sensitive about the printed word?
