When one of my sorority sisters came to me and asked me if I could paint a canvas for her to add some color and decor to her home, I said sure right off the back. We talked about prices and time lines and I agreed and said, “Just send over some ideas of what you’re thinking!” And then I got this. The above is a fabric (!) print by Lilly Pulitzer called “X Marks The Spot.” It doesn’t appear to be in production any more and that’s the highest quality image I could find of it. I’ve been a little distracted from blogging this week because I’ve been spending all my free time trying to recreate this explosion of color. Note to self: never agree to a price before you see what you’re painting.
